Founded in July of 2023, Biosis Designs was created to provide entrepreneurs, developers and investors in real estate with the technical and creative support to realize their development dreams. Guided by three core principles — teamwork, creative problem-solving, and diligent planning systems — Samuel, Dacoda, and Carmen have consistently delivered exceptional results over their 40+ years of experience. Their collaborative approach, combined with a handpicked team of A-players, ensures that every viable project is realized through effective quality control and comprehensive planning systems.
Samuel is a licensed Architect and co-founder of Biosis Designs. He has been operating in the design and construction industry for over 10 years. During this time, he has undertaken diverse projects ranging from custom single-family homes to large-scale multi-family residential, industrial and institutional complexes. Noteworthy examples include a 174-unit retirement home in Kitchener, several six-story apartment buildings in Ottawa, and numerous multiplexes in the greater Toronto area.
As an architectural technologist, Dacoda’s passion in life is synthesizing the artistic and engineering worlds through design. He has worked for some of the top Architecture and Engineering firms in Ontario, leading complex projects ranging from custom homes, estates, condominiums, hotels, wellness resorts, and major infrastructural projects for Metrolinx transit. Dacoda’s technical knowledge allows us to find creative solutions for complex problems, and his project management skills bring our designs from inception to reality.
As a Senior Architect and Practice Leader of Project Management, Carmen Tocchini brings 18 years of Canadian and international experience, skillfully delivering large, complex projects across public and private sectors. Her expertise in project management, stakeholder engagement, and contract administration ensures seamless project execution, particularly within the Sports & Entertainment Sector. A Certified Passive House Designer and Rick Hansen certified accessibility consultant, Carmen is passionately dedicated to the future of sustainable and universally designed architecture, actively contributing to the profession’s advancement as an RAIC Advisor.
